Are you assessing and developing your senior leaders on the critical talents and capabilities they will need to take the organization to the next level?

The Cheloha Consulting Group is a leadership development consulting practice specializing in executive assessment and coaching, succession planning, and corporate governance. The practice is built on 25 years of industry and management consulting experience.

We are senior and seasoned professionals who know firsthand the realities and demands of life at the top of an organization. We provide advice and consultation to CEOs, Board Directors, and Senior Executives and Managers on key leadership, organization, and senior team issues which impinge upon success and productivity. We help you address the most pressing and complex leadership and talent situations you face; issues that directly affect the bottom line.

Starting with a  diagnostic to insure we're working on the right issues, we assess and define the issue and the underlying causes to craft a high impact process and solution that helps your leaders and organization improve their performance. We serve as organization and leader catalysts, frequently uncovering issues and dynamics filtered from senior management's awareness by "saying what the boss wants to hear." We surface these issues/challenges so they can be addressed. We are frequently called in to assess and 'fix' tough and multi-faceted situations that others couldn't figure out or wouldn't address. Working as a catalyst, we are instruments of change.

Services:

Executive Assessment
  • Do you know the strengths and weaknesses of your key leaders?  Are they self-aware and know their impact and influence on others?
  • Do your high-potentials have career paths including specifics about their leadership strengths and areas for development? Are they clear on the skills, results, and responsibilities they need to demonstrate before they can be promoted?
  • Are you hiring a senior executive from the outside? Do you know what you're getting? Do you have a plan to on-board them so you maximize their chances of fitting in and being successful.

Executive Coaching

  • Would your senior leaders be more effective leaders if they were aware of their “blindspots?”
  • Do you have senior executives who don’t “get it” and need to change their behavior to optimize their effectiveness as a leader?
  • Do your high potentials have a few rough edges that need smoothing. Do they lack awareness of the realities of operating at the senior team level. Would they benefit from an external and objective perspective who can serve as a sounding board as they develop as a leader?
Succession Planning for CEOs, Boards, and Senior Executives
  • Does your Board of Directors have a clear picture of the strengths and weaknesses of their senior leaders (including high potentials) and how they're being groomed for bigger jobs?
  • Does the Board worry they have no capable insiders and may may be forced to go outside for key senior positions, knowing that outsiders frequently fail?
  • Are you the CEO/President/Founder of a Family Business looking at retiring, but are not sure you have a successor in place? Does one of your children want to run the business but you worry they don't have the skills and abilities to do the job?
  Corporate Governance

  • Do you need to appoint a new Lead Director, but want to do it in a fair and objective manner, so Board Directors who are not selected will be comfortable with the decision?
  • Are you considering re-structuring your Board Committees, adding term limits, or providing feedback to directors but are concerned that feedback from the CEO, Committee Chair, or other 'insider' will be more destructive than constructive?
Organization Re-Design/Re-Structuring
  • Is your organization (or SBU's) failing to perform? Do you sense something is not right but fear that making changes will make the situation worse not better?
  • Is an acquisition not making money although you've done everything you can to boost performance and encourage the senior team?
  • Does the management team continually reassure you "we're on top of things" and "we know what to do" yet consistently miss their numbers?
  Senior Team Building and Development
  • Is the senior team aligned on their business goals and how to get there? Do team members work together, against one another, or defend their turf?
  • Does your senior team  lack agreement on the organization’s main goals? Do they publicly agree and privately dissent?
  • Are senior leaders failing to set the right leadership behavior example, but you can't get their attention to make changes?
